To the patients of Dr. Litchfield

Thank you. For more than 25 years you’ve trusted this practice with your teeth, your kids’ first check-ups and the occasional emergency. That trust is the most valuable thing in this building, and we know it.

Dr. Doug Litchfield Dentistry is now Huntsville Smiles Dentistry. Dr. Litchfield is staying on through the transition, and a new dentist is joining him. They’ll work side by side, so you can be introduced in person rather than by letter.

The office hasn’t moved. The number hasn’t changed. Your records are right where you left them. You don’t need to fill anything out or do anything at all, except keep coming in.

Do I need to do anything to stay a patient?

No. You’re still our patient. Your records stay here, and any appointments you already have are still booked.

Are my dental records safe?

Yes. Your records stay at the practice and remain confidential, protected under Ontario’s health privacy laws. If you ever want a copy sent to another dentist, just ask.

Is Dr. Litchfield still seeing patients?

Yes. Dr. Litchfield is staying on through the transition and working alongside our new dentist, so you’ll have the chance to be introduced in person.

Has the phone number or address changed?

No. We’re still at Suite 203, 29 Main St E, upstairs from Pharmasave, and the number is still (705) 788-9229.

Will my insurance still work?

Changing the practice name doesn’t change your coverage. Bring your insurance details to your next visit and we’ll make sure everything is up to date.

Can my family members join the practice?

Yes, please. New patients of every age are welcome, and many families come together.
